Fort Worth ISD brings academics, enrichment, and student support together in one public school system so students can explore interests, build skills, and graduate prepared for their future.

Our Schools

Their First Credential
is Worth It.

Where the future starts taking shape.

Fort Worth ISD prepares students for life after graduation by connecting academics to real careers, tuition-free college credit, and hands-on experience. Through CTE, Early College, and 50+ Gold Seal pathways at Schools of Choice and neighborhood campuses, students can explore interests early, earn industry certifications, and graduate with more than a diploma. Many pathways include internships, clinicals, and work-based learning with real employers and mentors, while AP, IB, and Capstone connect advanced academics to practical, career-aligned outcomes.

Their First Standing Ovation is Worth It.

Where creativity and imagination is part of every student's education.

Fort Worth ISD offers the city’s most comprehensive public arts program, where creativity is part of every student’s education, not just an after-school extra. More than 53,000 students participate in visual and performing arts across all grades, supported by 400+ certified arts educators, with art and music in every elementary school and strong secondary pathways in band, choir, orchestra, mariachi, theatre, dance, and visual art. Recognized among America’s Best Communities for Music Education for 12 years and a TAEA District of Distinction for five straight years, FWISD arts help students stay engaged, show up, and succeed.

Their First Roster Spot is Worth It.

Fort Worth ISD offers one of North Texas’s most robust public school athletics programs, where competition builds character, teamwork, and confidence. Each year, high school students compete on 600+ varsity and sub-varsity teams across 30+ sports, supported by 675 coaches and multiple levels of play so every athlete can grow, find their role, and belong. With many sports starting in middle school, FWISD athletics help students build skills over time and carry discipline from the field into the classroom and beyond.
